New rules for visiting the Sites of Culture of the Park from January 10th 2022

According to the Decree-law n. 221 of 24 December 2021, concerning “Extension of the state of national emergency and further measures to contain the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic”: from 10 January 2022, in order to visit all the cultural sites of the Archaelogical Park of Ostia antica (Ostia antica, Julius II Castle, Imperial Harbours of Claudius and Trajan, Museum of Roman Ships in Fiumicino, Necropolis in Isola Sacra), it will be necessary to show the SUPER GREEN PASS (i.e. the one issued following vaccination or recovery from COVID).

This provision does not apply to persons under twelve years old and to persons exempt from the vaccination campaign.

From February 5th 2022, in order to be admitted to the Parco archeologico del Colosseo, visitors coming from abroad will be required to show the results of a rapid antigen or molecular test with a negative result to the SARS-CoV-2 virus, valid for 48 hours from the execution if rapid antigen or 72 hours if molecular for the visitors:

a) in possession of a certificate issued by the competent foreign health authorities of recovery or of vaccination against SARS-CoV-2 with a vaccine authorised or recognised as equivalent in Italy, if more than six months have passed since the completion of the primary vaccination cycle against SARS-CoV-2;
b) in possession of a certificate issued by the competent foreign health authorities of vaccination with vaccines that are not authorised or recognised as equivalent in Italy.

The execution of a rapid antigen or molecular test is not compulsory in case of recovery after completion of the primary vaccination cycle.
